Wat is een toegankelijke website?

U moet overheidswebsites gemakkelijk kunnen vinden, gebruiken en bekijken. Hiervoor past de Rijksoverheid de internationale standaard voor digitale toegankelijkheid toe.

In de Wet digitale overheid staat dat alle websites (en apps) van de overheid aan de toegankelijkheidseisen moeten voldoen. Het gaat hierbij om de succescriteria van niveau A en AA uit de Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2.

Platform Rijksoverheid Online

Deze website maakt deel uit van het Platform Rijksoverheid Online (PRO) en voldoet aan de belangrijkste technische eisen. Wordt er toch een afwijking gevonden? Dan lossen de makers van PRO dit probleem duurzaam op voor alle sites.
